“Unpredictable Pakistan beat favorites England & enter in to the final of Champions Trophy”


1st Semi Final

England vs Pakistan

In this host England were the favourites to win the match. Sarfaraz won the toss & elected to bowl. Suman Rares replace injured Amir. Also for England Bairstow came in place of Roy. In 6th over debutant Raees took wicket of Hales. After that Root & Bairstow added 46 runs for 2nd wicket then Bairstow got out for 43. Root & Morgan  looks good but in span of 4 over both got out. In 34.1 over England were at 5 for 148. Pakistan were at driving seat then England depend on Stokes but he was unable to rotate strike & hit big shots as well and that increases the pressure. In 48th over Stokes (34) got out and England only managed to score 211. Hasan Ali took 3 wickets where Junaid Khan & Ruman Raees took 2 wickets each also spinner Shadab Khan took one wicket.

Unpredictable vs Favourite

It was not a big total but Pakistan required good start. Fakhar Zaman & Azhar Ali gave brilliant start. Both were in good touch. It looks like Fakhar continuing his inning against Sri Lanka. Even bowling changes doesn’t affect the partnership. Fakhar scored his 2nd successive fifty & got out after scoring 57 that time Pakistan required 94 in 29 overs.After Fakhar got out Azhar (76) & Babar added 55 for 2nd then Babar (38*) & Hafeez (31*) finishes the job for Pakistan and Pakistan won the match by 8 wickets and enter in the Final of the Champions Trophy for the first time. Vadil Rashid & Jack Ball took one wicket each. Hasan Ali awarded by MOM for his 3 for 35.
