”Important series for Sri Lanka for World Cup 2019 qualification”

I never saw that in last 10-15 years Sri Lanka’s dominations against India in bi-lateral series. As far as India’s form concerned Indian team will want to repeat the Test performance in ODI also. As Ashwin, Jadeja, Shami & Umesh Yadav out of the squad then only Indian squad is much stronger than Sri Lanka team.

As Ajinkya Rahane won the man of the series award in West Indies but his place still not fix in playing 11. KL Rahul & Rohit Sharma back in to the squad so Rohit will open the inning with in-form Shikhar Dhawan. Where KL Rahul will be at no.4. Two main spinner Ashwin & Jadeja taking rest it will be good chance to young Kuldeep Yadav & Yazuvender Chahal.

Sri Lanka beat India in the Champions Trophy but then only they didn’t qualify for semis & after that they lost the ODI series against Zimbabwe 3-2 at home. So it will be big tast for the new captain Upul Tharanga to unite the team for the good performance against good side. Sri Lankan team still not recovered after the retirement of Mahela Jayawardene & Kumar Sangakkara. So new members should take responsibility.

As 30 September is dead line for the direct qualification for the upcoming World Cup 2019. Already West Indies should play qualifiers for qualification in world cup. For this Sri Lanka required to win minimum two wins in 5-match series. But it will be difficult task for Sri Lanka against the in-form Indian team.

Predicted 11

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), KL Rahul, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yazuvender Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah.
