​”Dhawan’s 132* & Kohli 82* helps India to win the first match of the Series by 9 wickets”

After the lost in the Test series cricket fan’s want some performance from Sri Lanka against one of the dangerous side in limited over format India. 3-0 win in test series that increases the confidence in Indian camp. Indian captain won the toss & elected to bowl first. Akshar Patel included in the squad instead of Kuldeep Yadav to strengthen the batting lineup.

Sri Lanka opener Dickwella (64) & Gunthilka (35) gave good start both added 74 runs in 14 overs. After Gunthilka got out Mendis join Dickwella and added 65 runs for 2nd wicket. But then Dickwella & Mendis (36) got out in quick succession. Sri Lanka were in good positio 150 for 3 in 27.1 over. At one point it looks like Sri Lanka will score  close to 300 but Indian bowlers restrict them on just 216 in 43.2 overs. At the former captain Angelo Mathews scored unbeaten 36. From India Akshar Patel took 3 wickets where Chahal, Bumrah & Kedar Jadhav took 2 wickets each.

217 runs in current cricket rules wasn’t a big total but for that India required good start. One of India’s best pair Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan came to bat. Unfortunately Rohit Sharma run-out for 4. But then in-form Shikhar Dhawan & captain Virat Kohli didn’t gave any chance to Sri Lanka. Young Chinaman bowers Lakshan Sandakan as well as experience bowler Lasith Mallinga unable to restrict Dhawan & Kohli. Dhawan scored his 11th 100 in ODI & unbeaten for 132 at the end where Virat Kohli scored 82*. India scored 63 runs in 6 over of Sandakan. Shikhar Dhawan awarded by MOM for his 132* in that he hits 20 four & 3 sixes.
