Alex Hales unbeaten 58 helped England to keep alive in series

After the amazing victory in the first match of the series Indian team looking for the second win and also win the series. Indian were looking well-balanced side in all departments also in the absence of injured Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav feels his place in the team.

In second match England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bowl first. England made only one change as Moeen Ali replaced by debutant Jake Ball. Rohit Sharma got out for 6 and India were 7 for 1 in 2 overs. Then India lost two more wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (10) and KL Rahul (6) in 5th over and India were 22 for 3. India was in big big trouble. Then Virat Kohli (47) and Suresh Raina (27) added important 57 runs for 3rd wicket and both were looking good but Suresh Raina was trying to hit the big shot against Adil Rashid and Raina stumped out for 27.


Then Dhoni came to bat and both Virat & Dhoni added 32 runs for the 5th wicket. Virat got out for 47 in 17th over and India was struggling to score runs than in last three overs Dhoni (32*) & Hardi Pandya (12*) were added unbeaten 37 runs for the 6th wicket and India finishes with 148 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. For England, David Willey, Jake Ball, Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid each took one wicket.

149 was not enough total to defend at small Cardiff stadium so India required quick wickets in first 6 overs. Umesh Yadav took wickets of Jason Roy (15) & Jos Buttler (14) where Chahal took the wicket of Joe Root (9) and England were 44 for 3 in 6.5 overs then Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan (17) added 48 runs for the 4th wicket. England required 57 runs in 42 balls with 6 wickets in hand. Hales and Bairstow (28) added 34 runs for 5th wicket then Hales (58*)  did the job for England and level the series 1-1 with a match still remaining. Umesh Yadav took 2 wickets, Bhuveneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Chahal each took one wicket. Alex Hales awarded by the player of the match for his unbeaten 58  that play the key role in the chase. Third and final match of the T20 series will be played at Bristol on 8th July. Both teams will try their best for the series win.
