Pakistan and Australia currently no.1 & no.2 side in ICC T20 ranking respectively. After the poor performance in England tour, Australia was looking in good touch in T20 tri-series. Where Pakistan’s performance in England tour was average. So both teams wanted to prove themselves and won the series. Australia’s captain Aaron Finch did remarkable work for his team as he scored 259 runs in 4 matches with one hundred and one fifty. He scored 172 against Zimbabwe and he breaks his own record of the highest T20I score of 156. In that match opener, Finch & D’arcy Short added 223 runs for the first wicket in which D’arcy Short contribution was only 46.
Finch and Maxwell were the only players from Australia who scored fifty or a hundred in this series. Also, the Australian team wanted to forget their failure in England tour by winning this series. Finch will be key for Australia due to his ability to change the game one handed but he should get support from Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell & wicket-keeper batsman Carey. In the bowling department, Billy Stanlake, Andrew Tye & Kane Richardson did the really good job in the absence of Hazelwood, Cummins and Starc. They also got good support from all-rounder Maxwell & Stoinis.
Unpredictability in batting department was the big problem for Pakistan. Fakhar Zaman shows his form in previous matches with scoring 187 runs in 4 matches. Where Asif Ali made the good contribution at no.6. But to set a big total it is important to gets contributions from Shoaib Malik and captain Sarfraz Ahmed. In the bowling department, Pakistan has more option so it will be interesting t see that who gets chance in Final. So whichever team will bat well they will get more chances to win the match and also series.
